A Long Way from Traditional Learning

This entry will consist information on e-learning where today's education has gone far beyond traditional learning. Do you agree with me?

You see, traditional learning is as reflected in this picture:

Traditional Learning:

Refers to established customs that are usually found in school where the society view it as appropriate.

Where on the other hand, E-Learning is a learning process that is facilitated with digital tools such as (CD-ROM, Video Conferencing, Websites, E-mail, etc...) where the content and instruction is delivered electronically.

The letter 'e' in e-learning stands for electronic in which the traditional education is literally replaced with learning by using technology. It is much more easier now, to learn where every information or knowledge is just at your 'fingertips'.

 We don't want to be left behind and let ourselves fall in the world without technology. I think most of us want to be like this boy:

He doesn't need many thick books.

 Here are some benefits of e-learning:

• Enhance the users to practice active learning.
• Allows the user to be more creative.
• Encourage oneself to be able to think critically.
